Because of the significant
price increase of energy carriers and due to the more stringent prescriptions
of environmental protection standards, the demand for thermal disposing and
reutilisation of hazardous materials of industrial technologies has been
increased (such as blast furnace gas, chamber gas, waste gases of chemical
industry, aggressive flue exhaust gases of chemical industry, rest of
solvent-air mixtures, gases of high inert content, liquid wastes, exhaust oil,
tar etc.).
Development
of these special burner constructions had been made on the basis of the series
manufactured boiler burners and furnaces of TÜKI.
The thermal elimination of
by-products of industrial technologies which does not content any aggressive
components as well as burning of homogenous liquid wastes generally takes place
in boilers or similar heat utilisation facilities in using heat recovery.
These by-products are
frequently not perfectly cleaned or its pressure is not stabilised. For this
reason the design of these appliances should be performed in such a way that
the harmful effect of powder and moisture reaching the firing facility has to
be avoided.
The combustible content of
waste gases is generally some type of hydrocarbons, depending on the applied
technology, as well as CO and H2. Due to this feature the combustion
characteristics of waste gases are very different and design of the applied
burning facilities are also different.
There are homogenous and
nonhomogenous liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons of various pollutants, by-products
and wastes which can not be burnt even with special burners in generally used
combustion chambers of industrial
firing technics. For their disposing special designed equipment, so-called
incinerators have to be applied.
In the field of thermal
disposing and reutilization of various wastes and by-products TÜKI gained
experiences of many years realising these facilities.
